From Khurooj Against The Scholars to Khurooj Against The Ruler - Hani ibn Buraik

Part 3 - Khurooj against the ruler Shaykh Sulaymān Ar-Ruhaylī said: "In my view, there no longer remains anyone among the Salafis in Yemen or elsewhere who doubts the Kharijite nature of Hānī Buraik and his so-called leader. It is therefore obligatory to expose his Kharijism, clarify the danger he poses to Yemen and its people, and warn against his writings in which he schemes against the people of Yemen and seeks to deceive them in the name of the Sharīʿah and Salafism. In reality, he follows the path of the Khārijites of this era: enjoying worldly luxuries while striving to plunge our people in Yemen into the fires of internal war and the shedding of their blood in order to achieve his corrupt and obvious aims. I call upon my brothers, the students of knowledge in Yemen, to unite their word and to work toward gathering the people upon the current legitimate leader, Rashād Al-ʿUlaimī, and his government; and to warn the people against taking up arms against their own families in Yemen in response to those who seek to spread corruption in their land and draw them into internal conflict. I also urge all effective and rational individuals to come together, consult, and engage in dialogue to resolve all issues, to support such meetings, and to clarify that this is the path called for by knowledge and wisdom. May Allāh restore happiness to Blessed Yemen, and assist our brothers among its scholars in manifesting the effects of knowledge and wisdom. “I only desire reform as much as I am able, and my success is only by Allāh. Upon Him I have relied, and to Him I return.”
