All praise is due to Allāh, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allāh, and upon his family and his Companions. To proceed: In accordance with the saying of the Almighty Truth: “Then he was among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.” [Al-Balad: 17] And the saying of Allāh تعالى: “Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, and advise one another to truth, and advise one another to patience.” [Al-‘Asr: 3] And the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “Whoever guides to goodness is like the one who does it.” [Narrated by al-Tirmidhī (2670) on the authority of Anas رضي الله عنه, and authenticated by al-Albānī in Aṣ-Ṣaḥīḥah (1160)]. I listened to six consecutive lessons by the virtuous Shaykh Abū Bakr Al-Ḥammādī, may Allāh preserve him, from the series entitled: “Paths of Safety from the Evil of Newly-Innovated and Destructive Foundations.” I had previously come across these lessons, listening briefly but being unable to complete them. On the morning of this day, I came upon the twentieth lesson and decided to listen to it in full. Due to my appreciation of the lesson, I searched for the one preceding it and listened to it as well. My eagerness continued to carry me from one lesson to the previous one until I completed six lessons, and I am determined—by Allāh’s permission—to listen to the lessons from their very beginning in order to benefit from them. We ask Allāh for success. I therefore advise students of knowledge—especially those who are well-grounded—to listen to these lessons in their entirety, for they are extremely beneficial. Their language is easy yet powerful at the same time. The Shaykh, may Allāh preserve him, has been granted remarkable success in them, and we ask Allāh to grant us and him more of His bounty, and to reward him with the best of rewards on behalf of the students of knowledge and the people of the Sunnah. Indeed, I also advise those who were upon the Sunnah but then became lax, negligent, and confused, to humble themselves before the truth and listen to these lessons. They will find therein—by Allāh’s permission—what suffices and heals. Let not arrogance prevent them from listening. For whoever does not humble himself in seeking the truth will be humiliated in the path of falsehood—this is the established way of Allāh. We ask Allāh for guidance and uprightness for ourselves and for all Muslims in general, and for the people of the Sunnah in particular. And all praise is due to Allāh, Lord of the worlds.
