Speaking about his last visit to Misr, Sheikh Abu ’Amr ḥafidhahullāh noted:
"Similarly, we also met with a number of our Somali brothers in Egypt, some of whom we had met in Canada about fifteen years ago. They are upon khayr, upon the Sunnah, and possess a strong sense of love. As I mentioned several years ago, the Somali people have a tremendous da'wah. Somalis are not confined to Somalia or Djibouti; they are present in Egypt, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, the United States, and many other countries, especially in the West. Perhaps most of those leading the Da'wah are Somalis. This is also true within Somalia itself. Somalia and Djibouti are considered as one nation, these divisions are political. Whether in Somalia or Djibouti, they have a tremendous Salafi Dawah, marked by distinction and steadfastness. Indeed, they are engaged in great work, and we met a group of them."
