DOUBT: There's no scholar except Al-Hajoori?!

Sheikh Abdulḥamīd Az-Zu'kari hafidahullāh responds: "Fear Allāh, O ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Al-Burʿī! Fear Allāh before you stand before Him as a liar! Before you stand before Him as a swindler! Before you stand before Him as one who deceives! He claims that we have no scholar except Yaḥyā Al-Ḥajūrī. Exalted is Allāh! Do we not praise Shaykh Al-Fawzān? Do we not praise Shaykh Al-ʿAbbād? Do we not praise Shaykh Ash-Shithrī? We regard him as a Salafī. Are we not asked about Sulaymān Ar-Ruḥaylī and say he is Salafī? Even As-Ṣuḥaymī—despite certain points with which we do not agree—we still consider him Salafī. Muḥammad ibn Ramzān Al-Hājarī calls to Salafiyyah, and we consider him Salafī. Ṣāliḥ As-Sindī—when asked about him—we say he is Salafī. How much we praised Shaykh Al-Laḥīdān and mourned him when he died. And the Shaykh Al-Ithyobi, Shaykh Yaḥyā ʿUthmān Al-Mudarris… and everyone who calls to the Sunnah is Salafī in our view—everyone who calls to the Sunnah, whether in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, or Sind. Yet he insists on misrepresenting us, claiming that we have no scholar except Yaḥyā Al-Ḥajūrī. There is no Diety worthy of worship except Allāh—what narrowness and what falsehood this is! Also, Shaykh ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Ar-Rājihī, we visited him on this occasion and on previous occasions. When we left Dammāj, he came to visit us—he came twice to visit our Shaykh, Yaḥyā, may Allāh preserve him. Likewise Shaykh Rabīʿ—we have praised him, offered condolences for him, and mentioned him with goodness. Indeed, we have quoted from his books even during the period when differences existed between us and him. We quote from his writings what conforms to truth and correctness. Look at my book Al-Mabḥath Al-Badīʿ fī Asbāb wa-Ḥulūl wa-Natāʾij At-Tamīʿ—we cited many passages from Shaykh Rabīʿ, because when what occurred actually occurred, it was due to their misleading behaviour, by their own admission. So I advise ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Al-Buraʿī to present balanced speech. Even if he disagrees with us, if his words are balanced, people will say: “This is what he believes; how can you attack him for his belief?” But when he lies—this cannot stand. [Al-Buraʿī claims] they carry a stone on which is written “ḥizbī!” As though we have become like the Twelver Shīʿa who pray only upon a stone. We ask Allāh for safety and well-being. By Allāh, brothers, you'd expect some people think that when grow with age, his intellect grows—but in reality, when some grow, only the load they carry grows heavier. Leave off fanaticism. Return to your senses, if you desire the people of the Sunnah to praise you and speak well of you. @AlHajoori
