Their da’wah, all praise is due to Allah, became well-established, firm, and deeply rooted—irritating their enemies and pleasing the eyes of their supporters.

So this is what appears to me, and Allah knows best—that Shaykh ‘Abdurrazzaq, may Allah preserve him, was influenced by those he sits with. One of the main reasons behind the influence on many of them is the absence of the Salafi da’wah—its absence in those regions—unlike the da'wah of our shaykh in Yemen, a great da’wah. The da’wah of Shaykh Muqbil, may Allah have mercy on him, has its clear impact, strength, authority, and far-reaching presence. Through patience, sincerity, dedication to knowledge, authorship, the nurturing of students, caring for them, and sitting with them, followed by his successor after him—the da'wah bore fruit and proved effective. It benefited and succeeded—by Allah, it truly did.
This is what appears to me, and Allah knows best.
And many like him—may Allah preserve him—were influenced. Take Waleed As-Su'aidan, for example: he possesses remarkable knowledge and intellectual strength, yet he is influenced by his shuyukh—deeply influenced by them. He speaks in an offensive manner, saying things like, “Those filthy, impure people who speak against the scholars, who speak against such-and-such...” By Allah, I never expected Waleed to say such harsh words about his brothers: “Those filthy, impure individuals who speak against the scholars.” He was told that some of them criticise Al-‘Awdah and Al-‘Areefi, and he responded, “Those filthy, impure individuals who speak about the scholars.” And with that, he threw his weight behind them. This is wrong. [https://t.me/almanhajussalafi/1898]
Where is the calm composure we see in your lessons? It's false tranquility—by Allah, it is fake. And when this misguided secularist is mentioned—Erdogan, the student of the secularist Atatürk—he praises him, saying, “This is an honest man, a righteous ruler,” and criticises his own brothers, those who have sound creed and goodness, considering them among the “filthy, impure ones.” This is unjust, by Allah. It is oppression, O Waleed. You will be questioned about this. You produce sound, scholarly, beneficial teachings—yet those misguided ones are laughing at you. They are not on your academic level—by Allah, they are not even close to your scholarly standing—yet somehow they manage to influence you. One wonders how you were influenced and how you believed them in these matters.
The reason is that those people (i.e. The Sa'afiqah and Musa'fiqah) distorted our da’wah over there—with their behaviour, their conduct, and their harshness. They tarnished the da'wah. They have no gentleness or compassion. Now you wish to call people to goodness, to the Sunnah, to righteousness and reform—and yet their character deteriorates. Then comes ‘Arafat, the criminal, who manipulates scholars. Hani ibn Buraik, the agent, also manipulates scholars—so-and-so and so-and-so.
Fear Allah—are you being manipulated by such people? They pit one person against another. They use you against so-and-so, and use so-and-so against you. What is this? What kind of da’wah can ever arise under such conditions? No da’wah will be established while you are in this state and while you have ‘Arafat and Hani among you.
By Allah, no da’wah will ever arise through Hani—he has already disavowed Salafiyyah. But ‘Arafat remains. By Allah, no da’wah will be established while ‘Arafat Al-Muhammadi is among you. ‘Arafat is a criminal from among the criminals, a traitor to the Salafi da’wah. He never rests until he sets one person against another. This is the reality of ‘Arafat. This is his programme—he never rests until he turns Salafis against each other.
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. We ask Allah for well-being and safety.
