Look also at the words of Muḥammad ʿĀkif, the General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, in an interview published by Al-Ṣaḥwah newspaper in Yemen (issue no. 918, dated 18-02-1425 AH). The interviewer asked:
“Would you accept Christians and non-religious individuals into the party?”
He replied:
«طالما أنَّهم سيَلتَزِمون بِفِكر ومناهِج وأهداف الحِزب فَلِمَ لا؟»
