◾ An example showing how the Shaytān works: an all women's group with a male teacher ◾️
Answered by Shaykh Abul-Yamān Adnān Ibn Hussain Al-Masqarī - May Allāh preserve him
📩 Question:
The questioner says that some Salafi sisters made a group for the purpose of dream interpretation and they added me to it, and it is a women's only group however the interpreter is a man. Every woman posts her dream and then he interprets it, they then sought from him that he teaches them Tajwīd so he begins posting about Tajwīd and gives them questions to answer, and I always try to leave and say to myself 'that is not appropriate'.
🖋️ Answer:
Yes, this is what's correct, that you leave, and that the righteous, salafiyyah, the upright women exits from this group, as the man is a teacher to the women; this is (a reason for) the corruption of the heart. What guarantees you O'(you) righteous woman that a man (won't) become allured by you or you enticed by him? This is a door to temptations and trials.
If it is the case that the scholars prohibit and warn from a man messaging his fiancée i.e. the woman whom he has sought her hand in marriage, he is engaged to her and has seen her and they have come to a mutual agreement; it is not allowed for him to message her or talk with her. And Shaykh Al-Albāni - may Allāh have mercy upon him -was asked regarding this and he said no, it's not allowed, so the (questioner) said "O Shaykh I'm engaged to her" the shaykh said it's not allowed. It's not allowed to be alone with her or speak with her nor message. So what is your presumption with this case given that the woman is foreign?
So this interpreter of dreams needs to learn and be disciplined, and had he been a righteous person then he would have stayed far from this fitnah. Focus and see how the evil progresses slowly: at first he was interpreting dreams then they (women) sought from him that he teaches them tajwīd, and note that learning tajwīd requires dictation, thus shaytān enters from this door. After some days they'll say "O Shaykh if only you could apply (the rules by example) and we'll do so too", resulting in one of them posting the exit-point of a letter, and a second reading the āyah and another reading the sūrah; it's inevitable that this will occur because shaytān is eager. All of a sudden he will then begin saying (to one of them) "your voice is pleasant mā shā Allāh" and he'll message her privately and she will likewise praise him saying "by Allāh you are a good teacher, what do you say in me being your wife?", and so on and so forth.
This has occurred in many instances, don't think this hasn't happened, it has. They begin with religion related messages and questions directed to people with easily tempted souls, and then they greet one another wishing a good morning and evening. Thereafter, (the women may say) "By Allāh you're a good shaykh, your speech is good, I like to ask you" and he replies "And you too, you're a well-mannered student".
Some of the innovators have exposed one another on their channels, the people of partisanship have disgraced one another, so they'll expose each other saying 'you exchanged messages with the woman'.
We ask Allāh to safeguard us and our brothers from the trials and temptations. We ask Allāh to grant us well-being and safety.
A person should preserve his knowledge and religion as much as possible. What is meant by preserving ones knowledge? Protecting the reputation and protecting the lofty position of the knowledge. And if you don't have any shame, it comes in the hadīth:
(إنما مما أدرك الناس من كلام النبوة الأولى إذا لم تستح فاصنع ما شئت)
"From the admonitions of the previous Prophet's which has been conveyed to people is that, if you have no modesty, then do whatever you like." [Abu Mas'ud al-ansāri | Al-Bukhāri]
