May Allāh have mercy on Sheikh Muqbil, who would often say: 'Do you think an innovator will present himself with two horns on his head?'”.

Al-Hasan ibn Ali رضي الله عنه said: «الطريق واضح ولكن الهوى فاضح» "The path is clear, but desire exposes (people's realities)." [Az-Zuhd Al-Kabīr by Al-Bayhaqī, 7/35] With the advent of definitive evidence, the unveiling of the true path, the fulfillment of clarification, and the affirmation of conclusive proof—yet still, there are among humankind those who have slipped and strayed from the right way. Their desires have exposed them. Indeed, everything that deviates from the truth is but mere desire. Reflect upon the Āyah: ﴿ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَـٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِیعَةࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ فَٱتَّبِعۡهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ أَهۡوَاۤءَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ﴾ “We have set you ˹O Prophet˺ on the ˹clear˺ Way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.” [45:18]
