In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I came across a post by the noble Shaykh Jamāl Al-Ḥabashī—may Allāh grant him success. He is from the land of Ethiopia and is known for his virtuous efforts in calling to Allāh. He oversees many masājid established upon knowledge and the Sunnah. Likewise, there are many other masājid affiliated with the esteemed Shaykh Abrār Al-Ḥabashī—may Allāh also grant him success. Both scholars have made commendable contributions, and there are other callers and scholars in the region as well, people of knowledge and insight, whom we have come to know closely. In his post, Shaykh Jamāl—may Allāh preserve him—expressed sorrow and concern that Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Sa‘d As-Suḥaymī—may Allāh grant him success—had recently visited Ethiopia and lectured in masājid known to be affiliated with the Ikhwan Al-Muslimoon and other organisations. Shaykh Jamāl mentioned by name some of these masājid, such as Masjid At-Taqwā in Betel, which is considered a stronghold of the Ikhwan Al-Muslimoon, and Masjid Imām Aḥmad in Alam Bank, which is a mix of Ikhwanis members and those from charity organisations. He also noted that this latter masjid had hosted individuals from the Ibanah group, such as Bā Mūsā and Rashād Al-Ḥabayshī—may Allāh guide them both. Shaykh Jamāl also referenced other masājid and pointed out that the masājid of Ahlus-Sunnah are open, numerous—praise be to Allāh—and are regularly visited by scholars of the Sunnah. He expressed his deep regret that a scholar of the stature of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ As-Suḥaymī—may Allāh grant him success—would choose to visit those aforementioned places, especially when suitable alternatives were readily available. We too share this regret, for such actions inadvertently revive the ranks of the people of falsehood, increase their visibility and numbers, and may also lead to the undermining of Ahlus-Sunnah, while casting them in a negative light and presenting the people of desires and opponents of the Sunnah in a favourable one. I sincerely hope that Shaykh Ṣāliḥ As-Suḥaymī will take this gentle and respectful reminder to heart, and that those accompanying him and arranging his lectures and talks will also benefit from it. Indeed, the people of the Sunnah are sincere advisers—praise be to Allāh. Written by: Abū Sulaymān Salman ibn Ṣāliḥ Al-‘Imād Sunday, 6th Dhū al-Qa‘dah, 1446 AH https://t.me/salmansalehalemad/4511
