When you see the destruction in Gaza—the tall buildings reduced to rubble with men, women, and children beneath—it brings heartbreak. All of this, they claim, is for the sake of a few prisoners. They spend hundreds of thousands, lose lives, equipment, hospitals, masājid, and infrastructure—all for fifty or a hundred captives? This is recklessness and folly. They are not striving in the path of Allāh, but in the path of their party, as they themselves have declared. Yahya Sinwar has publicly stated that their jihad is for the sake of the Muslim Brotherhood. That is the reality, may Allāh bless you. They cling to these fallacies and illusions which neither nourish nor satisfy hunger, while the reality proves their failure. Even among their own ranks, figures like Wajdi Ghunaym have criticised them. In some recorded statements, he warned Yahya Sinwar when he was still alive not to enter and denounced the Rafidah for their treachery against the Companions and their other grave offenses—saying they are not to be trusted. That, indeed, was a truthful statement, yet they did not accuse him of being a Jew or a Zionist—because he is one of them. Their principle is: "We cooperate in what we agree upon and excuse one another in what we differ on."
