لا تستوحش طريق الحقّ لقلة سالكيه!

Sheikh Hamood At-Tuwaijri, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: «وقد عظُمت البلوى بصناعة الصور وبيعها وابتياعها، وافتتن باقتنائها واقتناء الجرائد والمجلات والكتب التي فيها ذلك كثير من المنتسبين إلى العلم من معلمين ومتعلمين فضلاً عن غيرهم، وصار نصبها في المجالس والدكاكين عادة مألوفة عند كثير من الناس، ومَن أنكر ذلك عليهم أو أنكر صناعتها فأقل الأحوال أن يستهزئوا به ويهمزوه ويلمزوه، وهذا دليل على استحكام غربة الإسلام، وظهور الجهل بما بعث الله به رسوله محمدًا - صلى الله عليه وسلم - وما أمر به من هدم الأوثان وكسر الأصنام والصلبان وطمس الصور ولطخها، فالله المستعان» “The widespread prevalence of image-making, selling, and purchasing has become a serious affliction. Many of those affiliated with knowledge—both teachers and students—have become fascinated with acquiring such images, as well as with newspapers, magazines, and books that contain them, let alone others outside this circle. Displaying these images in homes, gathering places, and shops has become a familiar and accepted custom among many people. Those who object to this practice or denounce the creation of such images are often met with mockery, ridicule, and derision. This is a clear indication of the deepening estrangement of Islam and the widespread ignorance of what Allāh sent His Messenger Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—with, particularly his command to demolish idols, break statues and crosses, and obliterate and deface images.
