Sheikh ’AbdulKhaliq Al-Imad regarding Nu'man Al-Watar

"A brother says: Some Hizbees claim that Ali Rashid was acting under coercion. Were they truly coerced?! And who forced them to remain silent regarding wrongdoing? How many of their associates are there, following the same path as the Baraamikah, are scattered across various places? Where is their condemnation? Has anyone heard them denounce such actions? What coercion was involved? Was a sword held to their necks? They do not declare the Houthis as disbelievers; rather, they regard them as Muslims and recognise their leader as a legitimate ruler. According to Ahlus-Sunnah, supplicating for a Muslim ruler is a legitimate act. However, is this person (Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi) truly a Muslim ruler? The Houthi is not a Muslim. How can he be when he mocks the religion, mocks the Companions, and rejects the Sunnah? Allāh Almighty states: "Say: Was it Allah, His Āyāt , and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuses; you have disbelieved after having believed." Even if one mocks out of jest and without conviction, it still constitutes disbelief. How much worse is it for someone who sincerely believes in such mockery and reviles the Companions? What does Hussein Al-Houthi (the previous leader of the Houthis) say? He states that "Abu Bakr and Umar must be placed beneath one’s feet in this Dunya and that those who hold even a trace of allegiance to them are not among the party of Allah." This is the understanding of the Houthi? By unanimous agreement, rulership cannot be granted to a disbeliever. A fundamental condition of leadership is Islam. Furthermore, denying the Sunnah itself is an act of disbelief. The same applies to those who reject the punishment of the grave—not out of ignorance but through deliberate denial of established evidences. The eminent scholar Ibn Baz stated that whoever denies the punishment of the grave is a disbeliever and an apostate. Likewise, they reject divine predestination (Qadar), whereas the Prophet ﷺ said: "If one of you were to spend a mountain’s weight in gold, it would not be accepted until he believes in predestination." Additionally, they claim that the Qur'an is a created entity rather than the actual speech of Allah. Imam Ash-Shafi’ee when Hafs Al-Fard said the Qur'ān is created, he declared him a disbeliever and named him Hafs Al-Qird (the monkey). Yet, these individuals glorify such figures. Nu’man Al-Watar, for instance, claims that we have only witnessed the Houthis except respecting and honouring the scholars. ما شاء الله!!! Did they not spill the blood of scholars in Dammaj, massacre men, women, and children, and force people into exile? No, these people respect and honour the scholars. Rather it is the Southerners (those fighting the Houthis) who kill scholars!! These individuals are deceiving the Ummah. Figures such as Muhammad Al-Imam, Nu’man Al-Watar, and Ali Rashid are deceivers. Anyone who attends Houthi conferences, defends them, flatters them, or compromises with them is likewise a deceiver. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever deceives us is not one of us." They deceive the Muslims, making it seem like the Houthis have no issues. However, it is impermissible to associate even with an innovator whose innovation does not reach the level of disbelief, let alone to engage with those whose beliefs are outright acts of kufr. How, then, can one sit with those who believe in the imamahship of Khomeini, the same man who stated that Umar, Talha, Zubair, and Aisha were worse than dogs and pigs? How can one associate with those who claim that the entire universe is under the control of their imams? Khomeini himself asserted that the Prophet ﷺ failed in his mission and that Umar harboured hypocrisy, malice, and disbelief. These are the beliefs of the Rafidah. How, then, can they be presented favourably to the people? How you deceive Muslims into thinking they are righteous?
