Sheikh Abu Amr regarding Num'an Al-Watar:

"We know him to be a misguided deviant. He was among the supporters of Abul Hasan Al-Misri, defending and advocating for him for a long time—until Abul Hasan was finished and had nothing left. Then, he moved from that fitnah to the fitnah of the Al-Imamiyyah Al-Ma’bariyyah, shifting from one fitnah to another. This is the condition of one who has not been granted success in finding guidance."
