BENEFIT 386: A Caution Against ’Alawi ’Abdulqadir Saqqāf And His Website Ad-Durar As-Saniyyah

The website Durar As-Sanniyyah, managed by ’Alawi As-Saqqāf and his group, follows the ideology of Sayyid Qutb and Muhammad Surūr and is affiliated with the Ikhwan Al-Muslimūn. The website, along with its associated programmes, which cover Fiqh, Aqeedah, Seerah, and Tafseer, contains elements influenced by Ikhwani ideology. These influences particularly affect their manhaj and approach in dealing with innovators and other religious matters. Therefore, this website should not be relied upon, nor should its foundations and classifications be considered authoritative. Their manhaj is not purely based on the way of the Salaf. In fact, upon examination, certain aspects of their manhaj appear to be Hizbi, influenced by the Ikhwan. Al-Muslimoon, and based on flawed principles. Anyone who reads or benefits from their content must exercise caution. It is preferable for a Muslim to avoid such unreliable and untrustworthy sources, as they mix truth with falsehood in a deceptive manner. A person may unknowingly adopt ideas that contradict the Manhaj of the Salaf without realising it. I have observed that they cite the statements of scholars such as Ibn ’Uthaymeen, Ibn Baz, and Al-Albani out of context. The manhaj of these scholars does not align with the doctrinal foundations that the website promotes. So, be cautious, O servant of Allah, and refer only to well-known scholars' websites. This will bring you goodness, blessings, and protection from the dubious platforms that are widespread on the internet. Even though As-Saqqāf has obtained endorsements from some scholars, the reality is that they are unaware of his deceptive tactics and Sururist ideology. This is a painful matter—the Ikhwanis disguising themselves as followers of Ahlus-Sunnah, affiliating with them, and concealing their falsehood and conspiracies. We ask Allāh to eradicate this corrupt ideology, which only sincere advisors who are aware of the Brotherhood’s deceit can recognise.
