BENEFIT 381: In some masājid, supplications are raised every Friday, in every Qunoot, and in every Witr, people supplicate: "O Allāh, deal with the Zionists." B

Sheikh Adnan Al-Masqari hafidahullah responds: What do you truly know? What do you understand? This is making claims about Allāh without knowledge. May Allāh guide you! When you claim that Allāh has not answered the supplications of the Muslims, or that He has not responded—what knowledge do you have? Allāh, the Almighty, possesses knowledge of the unseen and who knows, perhaps He is punishing the oppressor by allowing them to persist in their tyranny and corruption. Perhaps this is, in itself, the punishment. Others before you have also been impatient. Allāh says: "So be in no haste about them (disbelievers)." [Al-Ahqaf 46:35] And He says: "And let not those who disbelieve think that We extend their time for their good; rather, We extend it for them so that they may increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment." [Aal-e-Imran 3:178] And He says: "And let not those who hasten into disbelief grieve you. Indeed, they will never harm Allāh at all. Allāh intends that He should not give them a share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment. Indeed, those who have purchased disbelief in exchange for faith will never harm Allāh at all, and for them is a painful punishment." [Aal-e-Imran 3:176-177] So do not think that Allāh is unaware, nor assume that He is heedless of what the oppressors do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror—a Day that is coming. Do not think that Allāh neglects His actions. Allāh is more merciful to the people of Gaza than we are, and "He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy." [Surah Yūsuf: 64] Allāh is also more protective of His religion than we are. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allāh has protective jealousy." And Allāh holds far greater anger and wrath against the disbelievers than we do. Therefore, do not be hasty, do not rush, and do not judge matters based on your limited understanding—Allāh alone possesses wisdom. No one is more patient over what He hears (of evil and falsehood) than Allāh. Allāh is Saboor. Look at how Allāh destroyed an entire city in just one or two hours (i.e. California). Allāh shows us His power: "We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves." [Fussilat 41:53] And what can this Zionist or this Jew do? What harm can he truly bring to the Muslim? What power does he have over the believers? If they kill us, our martyrs are in Paradise, while their dead are in Hellfire. Our martyrs are in Paradise, while their dead are in Hellfire. Those who remain patient, those who migrate and endure, continue to persevere. We ask Allāh to strengthen their faith and to expiate their sins. Allāh says: "And those who emigrated for the cause of Allāh and were expelled from their homes and were harmed in My cause and fought and were killed—I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow." [Aal-e-Imran 3:195] Thus, the believer is always in a state of goodness—whether he is expelled from his home, continues to fight, or is killed—he remains in a state of goodness, as long as he upholds tawheed and follows the Sunnah. He is in a state of goodness and will ultimately be led to good. As for the disbeliever, as long as he remains in disbelief, let him eat, drink, and enjoy himself: "Leave them to eat and enjoy themselves, and let false hope deceive them—they will come to know." [Al-Hijr 15:3] And Allah says: "But those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as cattle eat, and the Fire will be their residence." [Muhammad 47:12] So do not be hasty concerning them—"We are only counting down for them a fixed number of days." [Maryam 19:84] Allāh, the Almighty, is preparing their punishment, allowing them to accumulate more sins, and for them is a humiliating torment.
