💡 Fatāwā Series: Collaborating with People of Innovation to Attract People to Salafi Daʿwah 💡 — Answered by the Virtuous Shaykh, Fayṣal al-Ḥāshidī -حفظه الله ورعاه- 💫 Question: “السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Virtuous Shaykh, I live in a Western country where Salafism is not the majority among Muslims, and there are many individuals with differing ʿAqīdah. Is it permissible for a Shaykh here to collaborate with or hold events alongside people of innovation, with the intention of attracting the masses to the Salafi daʿwah?” 🎇 Answer: “وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته The Salafi daʿwah is pure like milk; it is not permissible to collaborate with the people of innovation under any circumstances, whether to attract people or for any other reason. The daʿwah of the people of innovation is forsaken, and collaborating with them removes the barakah (blessing) from the Salafi daʿwah. Collaborating with them gives the impression that they are upon the truth and causes people to become attached to them, which is a great trial.
