And He said about Prophet Shu‘ayb (peace be upon him): "The residents of Al-Aikah [near Madyan] belied the Messengers. When Shu‘ayb said to them: ‘Will you not fear Allāh? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear Allāh and obey me. And I do not ask you for any reward for it; my reward is only from the Lord of the worlds.’" [Ash-Shu’ara: 176-180] Allāh the Almighty also said: "And there came from the farthest end of the city a man running. He said, ‘O my people, follow the messengers. Follow those who do not ask you for any reward, and they are rightly guided.’" [Ya-Sin: 20-21] This is the way of the prophets, the righteous, and the scholars—a way of dignity and integrity.📌 Source: https://www.sh-abubakr.com/fatawas/44 _____ Similarly, Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajoori said: «الشيخ ابن باز ما كان عنده حزبية - أنتم تلبسون - فلم يكن عند الشيخ ابن باز جمعية على طريقة جمعيتكم البطالة جمعيتكم المحرمة الحزبية. He had people of goodness who respected him and trusted him, and all the Muslims of his time trusted him, except for those whose information about this imam was corrupted. He was a beloved man, may Allāh have mercy on him. Traders, princes, and other good people from inside and outside the Kingdom held him in high regard, giving their donations to him to distribute among those in need. When he asked for money, he would say, 'Give it to so-and-so, this is the known person.' His wealth was not part of any charity organisation, nor was it in any usurious bank. He did not engage in making images of living beings as is done in these charity organisations, nor did he didn't adopt the narrow-minded wala wal bara towards those not in their group."
