BENEFIT 352: Charity organisations have been tried and proven unsuccessful!

Questioner: A group of youth consulted some students of knowledge and obtained fatwas permitting charity organisations. We would like a brief warning on this matter. Sheikh Rabee’ رزقه الله حسن الخاتمة responds (slightly paraphrased): I have already clarified this. No charity organisation has ever been established under the name of Salafiyyah without ultimately failing. The truly fortunate are those who take lessons from the failures of others! The Sheikh then cites examples of various charity organisations from different parts of the world that were initially affiliated with Salafiyyah but later deviated and collapsed due to prioritising worldly interests over true knowledge. He then says: Avoid getting involved in such matters—they have been tried and proven to fail. No charity organisation has been established (without eventually collapsing), and I challenge you to name a single charity organisation today that remains steadfast upon the Salafi Manhaj.
