Question: What do you know about Wasiyyullāh ’Abbās? Sheikh Yahya hafidahullah responds: Wasiyyullāh ’Abbās was visited by some of our brothers, namely Sheikh Abū ’Amr and Sheikh Zā'id, during their Da'wah trip to those lands. They observed that his Da’wah was aligned with or very close to Jam’iyyah Ahlu-e-Hadith, which at that time was criticised for certain violations. It appears that our brother Abu ’Amr or Sheikh Zā'id wrote about these matters at that time, and I believe their writings on the subject have been published. Additionally, his condition deteriorated after he associated himself with members of the new Hizb (i.e. The hizb of ’Abdurrahman Al-’Adeni that slip the Salafi Da'wah in Yemen). These individuals, whenever they attach themselves to someone, distort their understanding of the true image of Ahlus-Sunnah, presenting it contrary to reality and deceiving them in the process. They misled him and others, but by the grace of Allāh, those matters have now concluded, and the efforts of those who strove to create discord have failed. Among the worst of them are Hani ibn Buraik, Muhammad ibn Ghalib, Arafat Al-Baseeri, and their likes, who attempted to incite discord within the Salafi Da’wah in Yemen. They led many individuals, who may have initially been reluctant to speak ill, into making inappropriate and harmful statements. They extracted such inappropriate remarks from them, which not only harmed their own reputations but also discredited others and disrupted unity. Wasiyullāh ’Abbās is among those who were influenced by them. He is influence with Jam’iyyah Ahl-e-Hadith and the new Hizb. He promotes them and believes that there is no true Da’wah (in Yemen) except with them, which is a delusion. Whoever adopts such a belief has been deceived. By Allāh, the true Da’wah remains with Ahlus-Sunnah in Yemen, and all praise is due to Allāh. As for these individuals, they have succumbed to the Rafidah and have established amicable relations with them. This is evidenced by the Rafidah themselves, as well as by the accounts of those within their circles, who openly praise the Rafidah. Falsehood has failed, by Allāh’s grace and His will, it has failed entirely. Allāh, the Most High, has spoken the truth (interpreted meaning): "Rather, We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it destroys it; and behold, it vanishes." [Al-Anbiya:18] Their fitnah has ended in utter failure, a failure that has blackened their faces due to their lies, falsehoods, and attempts to disrupt the Salafi da’wah. They sought to create discord among the callers to Islam from various regions. The fitnah originated from them and not from us. Whoever imagines it to have come from us is mistaken. If one reviews all my responses, they will find that I only respond to repel aggression directed at me, especially from those who initiated the fitnah and their associates.
