Three examples pertaining to Ḥamul Mujmal ’alal Mufaṣṣal:

1. Imām Ibnul Qayyim held and strongly supported the opinion in some of his books that Paradise and Hellfire will eventually perish, and this is in contradiction to what is clearly stated in the Qur'ān and Sunnah that the inhabitants of paradise will abide therein forever just as the disbelievers will abide in hellfire forever. Many scholars spoke and wrote to refute Ibnul Qayyim despite the fact that he stated the correct opinion that Paradise and Hellfire will never perish in some other places in his books. So where was ḥamlul Mujmal ’alal Mufaṣṣal? 2. Imām Adh-Dhahabi endorsed some narrations in his Siyar that seems to suggest that he supports seeking barakah at graves. The scholars explained, criticised and refuted this, despite the fact that Imām Adh-Dhahabi refuted and condemned this in other places in his books. So where was ḥamlul Mujmal ’alal Mufaṣṣal? 3. Sheikh ’Uthaymeen made an ambiguous statement, that: (الله معنا بذاته) "Allāh is with us in Essence". Although Sheikh ’Uthaymīn explained what he meant and rejected the false connotations it carried, this did not stop Sheikh Ḥamūd At-Tuwaijri from refuting this statement: فقد رأيت مقالاً سيئاً لبعض المعاصرين زعم في أوله أن معية الله لخلقه معية ذاتية تليق بجلاله وعظمته وأنها لا تقتضي اختلاطا بالخلق ولا حلولا في أماكنهم... Sheikh Ibn Bāz praised this refutation, and even Sheikh ’Uthaymīn himself endorsed it and recanted the word بذاته as you will find in his "Al-Qawā’id Al-Muthlā'. May Allāh have mercy on them all. So where was ḥamlul Mujmal ’alal Mufaṣṣal?
