BENEFIT 39: What is Tamyee’ and what are some of its prominent traits

● At-Tamyee’ (watering down) is a manhaj on the opposite side of the spectrum to that of Al-Ḥaddādiyyah; Tamyee’ is on the side of negligence while Ḥaddādiyyah falls on the side of excess. Their most prominent traits: ● They are easygoing with the people of innovation and remain close to them. ● They search for justifications to excuse those who commit violations against the Sharī'ah. ● They counter detailed disparagments on individuals with general praises from some of the scholars. ● They expand the circle of Sunnah and its people to include other than what is duly encompassed. Note: Some fled from the evils and extremism of Ḥaddādiyyah only to land themselves in Tamyee’. The true Salafi Manhaj is a middle course between Ḥaddādiyyah and Tamyee’, just as the truth - as is well-known - is the middle course between excess and negligence.
