Criticising Sunni Scholars While Ignoring Ahlul-Bidโah is a Troubling Sign
Sheikh Abdulแธฅamฤซd Az-Zuโkari แธฅafidhahullฤh said:
Stick to the scholars, observe the manners of the scholars, and recognise their worth.
If we look at the current reality, we find some individuals who avoid speaking against groups such as the Ikhwan, the Sufis, the Rafidah, the Tabligh, the Sururiyyah, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, socialism, Baathism, or any other proponents of falsehood in the world. Instead, their speech is directed against Sunni scholars, the sheikhs of the Sunnah, accusing them of innovation, immorality, or issuing warnings against them.
Such individuals are like algae, insignificant and without real value. Some of these algae aspire to have a stem, but it is impossible for algae to grow a stem. Algae remain at their level, floating on the surface of the water until they perishโthey will never develop a stem. This is the state of those who criticise scholars by labelling them as innovators, immoral, or misguided while lacking the qualifications of true scholars themselves.
I advise students of knowledge to know their own worth. A person who oversteps their position harms themselves before others and may even lead others astray.
