BENEFIT 275: How is a person judged to be a Hizbi (1)?

Sheikh Abdulhameed Az-Zu'kari ḥafidhahullāh: Scholars make such a judgment based on certain characteristics known to them, such as their restricted walaa' wal baraa', narrow-minded partisanship, adherence to specific groups and ideologies, deviations, seeking nearness to Allāh through lies, deception, and trickery, among others. Some people openly declare themselves as a party or group, as Muhammad Suroor did when he informed Sheikh Muqbil that they were a group. Similarly, this is the case with the Ikhwanul Muslimoon. You may also find some individuals who do not openly declare their Hizbiyyah, yet it is deeply rooted in them, like the members of certain charity groups. In recent times, we have seen the emergence of what is known as the "Ar-Rashad Salafi Party," which openly admitted its partisanship and deviation. Similarly, there is the "An-Nour Salafi Party" in Egypt and the "Ansar As-Sunnah group" in Egypt, Sudan, and other countries. The point is that, as our Sheikh Muqbil said, partisanship is not a pair of horns that appear on a man's head to identify him as such. Rather, it is evident in their restricted walaa' wal baraa', their hatred of the people of truth, their allegiance to one another, and their blind adherence to their principles and ideas. One of the hallmarks of the people of innovation is their slandering of the people of Sunnah. For example, nowadays, many people ask, "How do you judge someone as being a Hizbi? We see them studying like you, giving sermons like you, and praying like you?" We judge them as such due to their opposition to the Da'wah, their efforts to divide it, their hostility toward its people, and the presence of characteristics in them that resemble those of their predecessors. _____ (1) What is Hizbiyyah? ⤵️ https://t.me/almanhajussalafi/372
